Next to that came the tableau with a wonderful concept related to theme of the day.
They depicted Academics on one side and Industry on the other side. Academics has both rural students and the urban students all are graduating and getting employed in the Industries by the employers. They divide the employment also as rural employment and urban employment.
Followed by the tableau was the Mime with another different concept. The concept of theme was, B. Schools use different teaching styles and coach the management students in different aspect but still there is a gap in the performance, to identify that gap.
The first scene is that a student in a B.School gets well versed in all the concepts, case studies, definitions, rules, theories, laws, Etc. Then she graduates and gets placed in a company. She is impressing the employer with all the learnings she has and gets a project. When the project starts she faces Integration Issues, Decision making problems, Crisis but she is not able to manage any of these. Those case discussions, concepts, definitions, ect don help in finishing the project. Finally supervisor comes, to check the completion of the project, where it was not even half way through. So the student gets fired. She is not getting a job again because she does not have employability.
The student in the last scene depicts that though she is trained with various prgrammes so well, still there is a gap that she is not able to sustain in the job. She has a question in her mind, what are the employability skills? So the Mime students asked that they would like to get some suggestions from Panel Members.
After the Mime Mr. Venkatesh Prabhu, gave the vote of thanks for the Inaugural session.
